What makes my coaching irreplaceable?
I had encountered many devastating life adversities continuously in the past decades, more than those listed on the top of this web-page. Objectively speaking any single one of the traumatic incidents could have easily knocked one down completely or made one develop destructive behaviours or living patterns , but I eventually survived with a positive, healthy and strong mind as well as enthusiasm for a new life.
After obtaining a Bachelor Degree of Medicine in China I was awarded prestigious international scholarships to complete the studies of Master Degree of Health Science (MSc) and Master of Public Health Program (MPH) in Finland and the UK. I had also worked for the largest NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Centre in London as a Health Promotion Specialist. The centre provides bowel cancer screening to over one million residents in six boroughs. Further I completed various UK based training on psychological well being. I am also a Mental Health First Aider and worked in the field of mental health.
Possessing expertise on Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as well as psychological well-being, I might be in a better position to seek for help from various healthcare professionals, such as those offering psychological therapies listed above. I truly appreciate having opportunities to receive those services, but simultaneously I do sense their limitations.
I had endeavoured to dig deep and hold myself tightly through searching for new resources to maximise my resilience and problem solving capacities. So had I tried hard to contemplate human life and sufferings from alternative perspectives, such as wisdom embedded in Eastern philosophy, Buddhism and Chinese Taoism. It provides me with more persuasive and fresher angels to gain insights into torments and agony. Secondly the perception of Japanese people on trauma, dilemmas, grievance and death et al completely blew my mind away. It generates compelling reasons to persuade one to accept stress and pain thus to continue living positively.
Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn developed mindfulness based on his learning from Korean and Vietnamese Buddhist Monks. I have also been practising mindfulness and meditation as part of Jingan and Changshou Gong. It can not only prevent diseases and illness but also promote better psychological well being. So is it effectual to relieve psychosomatic symptoms.
In summary as a holistic well-being coach, I
- Possess comprehensive knowledge on health related subjects from the perspectives of East and West
- Specialise in Health Promotion with a trackable educational background and work experiences;
- Received extensive training on psychological health, and being a certified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA England);
- Have in depth knowledge on Chinese Buddhism and Taoism;
- Have a great interest in Japanese and Korean cultures, particularly how life adversities are perceived and handled in their cultures;
- Have experiences of receiving Western psychological therapies and realising their impediments;
- Possess lived experiences of surviving from a sequence of long lasting catastrophic incidents;
- Have an awe-inspiringset of skills ranging from languages, cultural insights, art such as Traditional Chinese Calligraphy, dances of Chinese ethic minorities, Korean Pop dance and Japanese Pop dance, meditation, Jingan and Changshou Gong as well as acupressure
- Utilised the multidisciplinary resources and tools to survive from the adversities and my own psychosomatic symptoms have been effectively controlled or eradicated

Meridian (Chinese Medicine)
Acupressure
Acupressure is based on the technique similar in principle to acupuncture . It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body. In treatment, physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians. Pressure may be applied by hand, by elbow, or with various devices.
There are medical studies suggesting that acupressure are effective at helping manage nausea and vomiting. So is it effective at helping relieve lower back pain, tension headaches and stomach ache et al.
If you feel uncomfortable with needles, acupuncture might not be the best option for you. Alternatively you could try acupressure,which is non invasive and has a similar effect to acupuncture in relieving some of the psychosomatic symptoms.
